Barcelona will be home to one of the next three large supercomputers in Europe   Catalan high-technology exports up 5.6% in first quarter
This will definitively put Barcelona among the global supercomputing elite. The initial budget for the new supercomputer will be roughly €200 million.   Catalonia exported high-technology industrial products valued at €1.89 billion. Noteworthy among these high-technology products is the increase in pharmaceuticals (+6.9%).

Catalunya 2018: record number of foreign investment projects carried out and jobs created
Investment totalled €322 million and 5,455 new jobs were created. There are currently 8,642 foreign companies established in Catalonia, according to ACCIÓ. (+)
