El Prat has beaten its record, with 47 million passengers in 2017
Barcelona-El Prat Airport ended 2017 with a new record, with 47.2 million passengers. The figure represents 7.1% more than the previous financial year. This means that Barcelona has established itself as the 7th most important European airport in terms of passenger transit. Operations at El Prat also increased and reached a total of 323,539 at the close of the year, 5.1% more than in 2016.
