Foreign investment in Catalonia will increase 13% in 2019
80% of the volume of foreign investment attracted has gone to the industry

Foreign investment captured by the Generalitat de Cataluña in 2019 reached 365.2 million euros, a figure that represents 13% more than in the previous year, and which has led to the creation of more than 5,700 jobs (+ 5.5%) and the maintenance of an additional 1,350 (+ 6.3%). 80% of the volume of foreign investment attracted has gone to the industry, mainly to the sectors of the pharmaceutical, automotive, chemical and plastics industries.
