This year, Shining 3D, which specialises in research and development of high-precision 3D digitalisation technologies and 3D printing, focusing on three areas (metrology, professional 3D scanning and digital dental tools) has joined the DFactory Barcelonaglobal benchmark industry 4.0 ecosystem promoted by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB).

The multinational corporation, founded in 2004 and based in China, has consolidated its place as a key stakeholder in 3D digital technology, with global influence and a commitment to spreading the use of digitalisation technologies. The company has more than 1,000 professionals on staff around the world, with strategic headquarters in China, Germany and the United States, so far.

DFactory Barcelona continues working toward the goal of becoming the factory of the future, encouraging and developing industry 4.0, new talent and new technologies and investment, in an unparalleled location, with technologies such as 3D printing, robotics, cybersecurity, blockchain and artificial intelligence. Its facilities are roughly 17,000 m2, home to nearly 30 companies, and it expects to add 72,000 m2 more in the coming years to house 1,500 direct employees and 5,000 indirect ones.
