The Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) has recently launched a practical website with tools for businesspeople, entrepreneurs and future investors, under the framework of the comprehensive economic development program Friendly for Business. This groundbreaking technological initiative includes a powerful search engine with more than 600 services for companies and a search engine for industrial parks, plots and buildings available in the metropolitan area.

The Friendly for Business program was created with the aim of re-industrializing the metropolitan area, attracting investment and jobs, and providing support for companies in the 36 participating municipalities. The services search engine, which is open to the public free of charge, gives investors, businesspeople and entrepreneurs access to services and economic-development resources available through the various administrations, towns and institutions that operate in the AMB.

The second tool that has been launched, the search engine for industrial plots and buildings, features comprehensive information on the 236 industrial parks in the Barcelona metropolitan area and the properties available in the 36 metropolitan municipalities. The search engine is available online and via the app AMB Buildings and Plots, available for Android, Apple and Windows Phones.

Under the Friendly for Business program, in addition to these two search engines, the AMB has also designed a network of 12 Metropolitan Business Support Offices (OAE), providing all the services established businesspeople and those who will do so in the coming two to three years may need, all under one roof.
