El Prat has beaten its record, with 47 million passengers in 2017

Barcelona-El Prat Airport ended 2017 with a new record, with 47.2 million passengers. The figure represents 7.1% more than the previous financial year. This means that Barcelona has established itself as the 7^th most important European airport in terms of passenger transit. Operations at El Prat also increased and reached a total of 323,539 at the close of the year, 5.1% more than in 2016.
