With the purchase of Vilynx, Apple wants to turn Barcelona into a center specializing in the development of artificial intelligence

The American Apple has recently acquired the Barcelona start-up Vilynx. According to various sources, the operation would have closed for about 40 million euros. The Catalan company specializes in the development of intelligent software that indexes and tags videos in Internet searches. Apple has plans to make Barcelona one of the European centers specializing in the development of artificial intelligence, and the purchase of Vilynx is part of this strategy. The same sources say that Apple has already begun hiring engineers for its center in Barcelona. Apple currently has AI teams in Ireland, Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
