The North American real estate group  Hines has announced an agreement with the real estate company UDIN to build 30,770 square meters of offices in the 22 @ district of Barcelona, occupying almost an entire block of more than 8,000 square meters. This project is located on Cristóbal de Moura Street and is intended to lead the urban regeneration of this part of the city.

Hines has proposed to build an avant-garde project, divided into different buildings that offer companies spacious, modern and flexible spaces, that take into account the future needs of jobs, and that obtain the highest environmental, welfare and connectivity certificates.

The new project joins those already being developed by the company in the 22 @ district, that is, two student residence complexes, an international business school and an additional office building, operations that make Hines one of the main promoters of 22 @ Norte, an area already consolidated as one of the most important technology and innovation hubs, as confirmed by the presence of some of the large global technology companies.

Hines, a global real estate investment firm, was founded in 1957 and is present in 205 cities in 25 countries. Currently, the company has 165 projects underway around the world. Since its founding, Hines has built, renovated, or acquired properties with a total area of nearly 460 million square meters.

It should be noted that recently, the Ayuntamiento de Barcelona approved a new urban planning in this area. The new urban plan affects a land equivalent to 41 blocks of the Eixample, 21% of the technological district. Maintains the million square meters for offices already planned and provides for the construction of 6,300 homes.
