Gavà has developed a new sector located northwest of Els Joncs economic district, with the aim to boost a green and sustainable residential growth. Pla de Ponent consists of 186 hectares of surface area with the capacity to build 4,896 new apartments. This area will allow the municipality of Gavà to move towards a sustainable city model through the implementation of innovative water management techniques, ensuring the preservation of local species and resources, the re-naturalisation of streams and guaranteeing sustainable forest management.
