Port of Barcelona will electrify the docks in seven years

This project has as its final objective the supply of electrical energy from the dock to the ships that dock at the Port through its connection to the electricity network when they moor, ceasing to have their engines running and thus eliminating polluting emissions. In addition, the production of renewable energies will also be promoted in the port enclosure – mainly photovoltaic – so that the electrical energy necessary to supply the boats comes from clean production sources.
