El Prat Airport recently released a new direct fight to the Middle East, specifically to Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. Etihad Airways starts operations at El Prat with these flights, with a frequency of five times a week.

Meanwhile, according to AENA estimates, El Prat, which currently accommodates 100 companies and offers more than 200 destinations, will surpass 50M passengers this 2018, compared to the figure of 47M in 2017.
