According to data recently published by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourismexports made by Catalan firms rose by 8% in July compared to the same month in 2018, which amounted to €6,832.7 million. In this respect, it should be noted that Catalonia makes up for 27% of Spain’s total exports. Broken down by sector, the top exports were chemical products (27% of the total), capital goods (16.7% of the total), food and drink exports (14.2% of the total), and foreign sales in the automotive sector (14.1% of the total).
