The Government of Catalonia and Barcelona’s Port  together are looking for innovative and digital solutions for improving the effectiveness of the facility and turn it into an international reference among smartports.  With the SmartCatalonia Challenge, devoted to the Port in its 2019 edition, Barcelona will become a test bench for the solutions given to the challenges imposed by the port activity. The announcement of the connection between the SmartCatalonia Challenge and the Port comes after the later announcing an investment of €10M over the next four years to deploy the 5G network.
