Barcelona has positioned itself for the first time among the world’s most important technological cities, according to the Tech Cities 2019 report from the international real estate consultancy firm Savills. It placed itself in 21st position of a ranking headed by New York and followed by San Francisco, London, Amsterdam and Boston. The report analyses the parameters that attract IT investors, such as the infrastructures, business and lifestyle sectors, the expense in accommodation or mobility. Savills considers Barcelona to be the third best city in dynamism and wellbeing, and the fifth in transport infrastructures oriented to people’s mobility.
