Catalan exports have increased by 2.9% over the first semester of 2018, when compared to the same period last year. They have reached the amount of 36,659 million euros. This represents the highest volume of the historic series on a first semester, a figure that corresponds to the 25.3% of the total Spanish exports. According to data by sectors from the Ministeri d’Indústria, Comerç i Turisme, the automotive Catalan exports (+15%, 6,446 million euros), the chemical ones (+2.9, 9,600 million euros) and capital goods (6,342 million euros) stand out.
