NTT DATA, the Japanese IT services company, has inaugurated its NTT DATA Living Lab in Barcelona. This innovation centre is designed to accelerate technological progress through co-creation with clients and strategic partners. The new hub includes multidisciplinary spaces to support the entire innovation lifecycle, from concept to real-world validation and implementation.

Artificial Intelligence is a key pillar of the Living Lab. Since 2018, NTT DATA has been developing its AI Centre of Excellence in Barcelona, and this new facility further strengthens the city’s role as a key node in the company’s global AI strategy.

The launch of the Living Lab also underscores NTT DATA’s commitment to consolidating its presence in Barcelona, where the group already employs more than 4,000 professionals. This initiative aligns with the company’s broader strategy to centralise innovation efforts in the Catalan capital. In 2023, NTT DATA opened its new headquarters in the city’s 22@ district.

In this context, NTT DATA representatives highlight that innovation is the foundation of progress, particularly at this time of great global uncertainty, with developments impacting all areas of society and the economy. They stress that continued advancement can only be achieved through anticipation, innovation and co-creation with clients and partners to provide effective solutions to emerging market and societal challenges.
