According to information shared by the Statistics Institute of Catalonia, the Catalan economy experienced growth of 0.8% during the second quarter of the year, with a year-on-year increase in GDP of 2.9%.

These figures coincide with those of the Spanish economy as a whole, and exceed the average of the European Union, which registered a growth of 0.7% in the second quarter, and an increase of 0.3% compared to the first three months. of the year.

The industrial sector, with an increase of 4.9%, was the main driver of this growth, followed by construction, which grew by 3.8%, agriculture with 2.4%, and other sectors with 2. 3%.
