Germany’s Siemens to open new headquarters in Barcelona’s 22@ tech district this October
The relocation consolidates the company’s strategic commitment to Catalonia and its future challenges

Siemens, the German global leader in innovation and technology, is relocating its headquarters to Diagonal One Tower in Barcelona’s 22@ district in October. The new offices will house the company’s sales and technology operations, while Siemens Mobility will continue operating at full capacity from its Cornellà headquarters and the corporation’s DEX (Digital Experience Centre), which focuses on software for the infrastructure, logistics and automotive sectors, will remain at DFactory.
Siemens’ new offices will occupy the twelfth floor of Diagonal One Tower, renowned for its cutting-edge architecture, panoramic sea and city views, and privileged location in the heart of the 22@ district. This move coincides with a significant milestone for the company, as it celebrates 130 years in Spain while addressing new challenges fuelled by technological innovation.
Siemens notes that the new space will better reflect its purpose as a company: to transform everyday life through technologies that enhance quality of life and promote sustainability as a core pillar of business practice. Furthermore, this move not only strengthens Siemens’ brand image, but also aligns it with global trends in office transformation towards more sustainable and flexible workplace models.
This relocation reaffirms the company’s long-term commitment to Catalonia within its strategy and future challenges, and reinforces the position of the 22@ district as Barcelona’s main innovation hub, where numerous global firms are now establishing their regional headquarters.
