Mr. Pere Aragonès, the current president of the Generalitat, announced last Tuesday that ACCIÓ has supported more than 26,000 projects over the last 35 years.

Today, it is the government’s main tool for promoting economic growth abroad. The first offices in international territory were opened in 1988, with Tokyo, Hong Kong, Milan, and New York being the selected cities.

The global network of Trade and Investment Offices is an essential resource for promoting the internationalization of companies in Catalonia. In fact, since 1995, when the historical series began, Catalan exports have experienced a remarkable increase of 5.3 times, reaching a total of 94,926.7 million euros in 2022. This increase exceeds the average growth of exports worldwide, which recorded an increase of 4.8% during the same period.
