The city council and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) have selected the companies Neinor and Cervasa as private partners to take on 50% of the housing project in Habitatge Metròpolis Barcelona (HMB).

The aim of this public-private partnership is to address the shortage of affordable rented subsidized housing, providing a combined capital of more than 103 million euros to develop more than 4,500 properties, 2,250 in Barcelona and 2,250 in the rest of the municipalities of the Barcelona metropolitan area.

And although the private partner’s profit will be lower than the market rate, the profits will be shared equally with the public partners.
