Kion Group, a German multinational corporation that specialises in solutions to manage the flow of materials for intralogistics, has established its first digital hub outside of Germany at DFactory Barcelona. This space will be an extension of KION Industrial Trucks & Services (KION ITS), the most important division of the group.

By opening this new facility, the company is reinforcing its commitment to technological innovation, driving development of automation, connectivity and artificial intelligence technologies to offer innovative products and services for storage, machinery, vehicles and advanced software, with brands like Linde, Still, Baoli and Dematic.

Sources inside the company have said that DFactory provides a privileged location to launch and expand their projects, and that Barcelona stands out as the perfect place for technological ecosystems, thanks to its long commitment to innovation and ability to attract talent and companies.

DFactory, promoted by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), is home to 35 companies developing projects in robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, cybersecurity and other advanced technologies. It features 17,000 m2 of facilities and fosters collaborative innovation.
