INCASOL and the Cerdanyola town council are planning to create about 5,000 homes over the next 15 years in Parc de l’Alba, in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona).
The Institut Català del Sòl (INCASOL) and the city council of Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona) plan to create some 5,000 homes over the next 15 years in Parc de l’Alba, in Cerdanyola del Vallès. The project will be developed through a public investment of 450 million euros and the construction will be surrounded by 200 green hectares.
It is expected that half of the flats will be for social housing and that work will begin in 2022, although the neighbourhood will not be completely finished for another fifteen to twenty years. It will cover an area of 408 hectares, and the construction of these new homes will increase the population of Cerdanyola del Vallés by 15,000 inhabitants.
The residents of this new neighbourhood will benefit from the proximity to a large green space, with the Collserola Natural Park. In addition, there are plans to build a new 50,000 square metre shopping area, which will serve the population of the neighbourhood and the surrounding area.
