The German luxury online store  Mytheresa, belonging to the  Neiman Marcus, group, has opened a technology hub in Barcelona, ​​in the Kursaal building on Rambla Catalunya, which will soon accommodate up to 70 workers. The technology hub of the German company in the city will focus on the development of technology and services for its global business, with the hiring of professionals in the fields of ICT, online marketing, user experience design and customer service, among other specialties.

With offices in London, Milan and a virtual office in New York, the Barcelona technology hub will have a direct connection to its headquarters in Munich and the Berlin office. Sources from the company confess their enthusiasm with the opening of Mytheresa’s offices in Barcelona, ​​currently considered one of the leading technological hubs of reference in Europe, which offers a unique pole for attracting international talent, and which the city’s growing access to the global technology scene is of great strategic value for the continued expansion of MyTheresa.

The company currently has around thirty people working in this new hub, which consolidates the German company’s commitment to the Catalan capital, where it arrived two years ago with its first offices in the 22@ district.

Headquartered in Munich, Mytheresa was founded in 2006 and has more than 700 employees and net sales of € 377 million globally. The company works with more than 250 international luxury fashion brands, such as Dior, Saint Laurent, Loewe, Versace and Burberry, and distributes in more than 140 countries.

To land in Barcelona, ​​the luxury company has received the support of ACCIÓ, the agency for the competitiveness of the company of the Departament d’Empresa i Coneixement of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and of Ajuntament de Barcelona through Barcelona Activa.
